Martina Schmid

Martina joined Netflix in 2019 and as Dubbing Manager Germany is responsible for dubbing international titles and strategy for the German market. After studying sociology, art and media as well as linguistics, she gained her first professional experience in the film industry on the PR side, before gaining a foothold in the dubbing environment, initially by chance and later quite consciously. As Head of Technical & Dubbing at Alamode Film, she was responsible for overseeing the entire subtitling and dubbing process for all theatrical and home entertainment releases. Titles include "Two Days, One Night" and "Blue is the warmest color." After continuing her education at New York University, she supervised the creative dubbing process in Germany for Amazon shows such as The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and Carnival Row. Currently, Martina Schmid is working with her team on projects like Enola Holmes 2, Glass Onion – A Knives Out Mystery, as well as the international dubs of German productions.
