Rita Menezes

With a BA in Translation and Interpreting and a MSc in Relationship Marketing, Rita Menezes has been working as a professional translator, subtitlers, reviser/quality controller and transcreator since 2002. She has also been involved in translator’s training since 2014. Rita is a researcher at the University of Lisbon Centre for EnglishStudies (ULICES) and she is working on her PhD dissertation in Audiovisual Translation. Her research focus is subtitling revision and her other research interests are cognition, creativity, ethics, translationtechnology and pivot translation. She is one of the guest editors of the special issue of Perspectives on pivot AVT (due in 2023).
