Mária Koscelníková

Mária Koscelníková studied Translation Studies (English Language and Culture and Spanish Language and Culture) at the Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, and she later obtained a PhD. degree at the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. She successfully defended her dissertation on the Translation Specifics of Videogames in Slovak Cultural Environment. She researches theory and practice of video game localisation as well as audiovisual translation. She currently teaches at the Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra. She is also an active localizer/translator. She translated many books from English or Spanish mostly for children and young adults, she is also a dialogue list translator and subtitler.
