Emmanouela Patiniotaki is a graduate of the English Department of the Kapodistrian University of Athens. She holds a MSc in Scientific, Medical and Technical Translation with Translation Technology and a PhD in Accessibility from Imperial College London. She has been working as a professional in Translation and Localisation since 2006, in Audiovisual Access Services since 2011 and is a member of the Movement of Disabled Artists. She teaches Translation Technology, Language Automation, Access Services and Audiovisual Translation at University College London and delivers guest lectures in other institutions. As a researcher, she works on the aforementioned fields, focusing on the design of New Means of Access and Universally Accessible Environments, as well as Crisis Translation, and is a member of the INTERACT Crisis Translation Network.
