Senne Van Hoecke

Senne M. Van Hoecke is a PhD student at the Department of Applied Linguistics, Translation and Interpreting at the University of Antwerp (Belgium). His main research project is the Subtitles for access to education project, which explores the impact of intralingual and interlingual subtitling of L2 English university lectures on cognitive load and comprehension, and is conducted under the supervision of Iris Schrijver and Isabelle S. Robert. He has a Master's in Interpreting and has previously worked on readability and automatic writing evaluation. His current research interests include readability, audiovisual translation (subtitling) and cognition, reception and perception research.
