Gabriela Gonzalez Meade

Ana Gabriela González Meade is a Mexican senior audiovisual translation and quality control specialist with over 25 years of experience and over 10,000 translated and reviewed programme hours under her belt for broadcasting, cable TV, VHS, DVD, Blu-ray, major studios, leading streaming media platforms, and the big screen; the former Territory Manager for Latin America at Pixelogic Media; founding member of the American Translators Association’s Audiovisual Division and editor-in-chief of Deep Focus, the division’s specialized newsletter. She is founding member and co-chair of the newly-established Pan-American Audiovisual, Adaptation and Translation Association (PANAVAT) that represents the interests of and brings visibility to audiovisual localization professionals across Pan-America and aims to place this vast territory at the forefront of global forums for policy debate. In parallel, Ana is an audiovisual translation teacher and educator and speaks at conferences and international events; holds an MA in Translation Studies from the University of Portsmouth, and is certified by the Universitat de Barcelona on Spanish Proofreading and Style.
