Aleksandra Ożarowska is a translator and a PhD candidate at the University of Warsaw, where she teaches translation. She is also a lecturer in English at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw. Her research focuses on audiovisual translation and contemporary approaches to translation studies. Translating from English, Polish, German and Italian, she cooperates with major Polish publishing houses and opera houses. She was awarded scholarships by the University of Tübingen, Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and University of Bon; in 2020 she received the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education Scholarship for Outstanding Young Researchers and in 2021 she was granted the Fulbright Scholarship.
