Patrícia Tavares da Mata is a master student in Translation Studies at the University of Brasilia, Brazil. She is a bachelor's degree in Applied Foreign Languages - Multilingualism and Information Society at the University of Brasilia. She participated in two Scientific Initiation Programs (2017-2018 and 2019-2020) funded by CNPq (Brazil's National Research Council). She is a member of the research group Acesso Livre - Audiovisual Translation and Accessibility. She is a member of the Center for Assistive Technology, Accessibility and Innovation (NTAAI) by the Ministry of Science (2011). She is a member of the support committee to the accessibility and translation of the Brazilian Congress of Physical Therapy Neurofunctional. Her research focus mainly on audiovisual translation and cultural accessibility.
