Siobhán Rocks is a performer, dramaturg, and British Sign Language-English interpreter. She is the co-creator of ‘InterpPlay’ a series of AVT-based training courses for sign language interpreters wishing to specialise in theatre.
She holds a PhD ‘A Method for the Analysis of Sign Language Interpreted Theatrical Texts’ from the University of Leeds. Her particular area of interest is the maintenance of coherence in sign language translated and interpreted theatre.
Her most recent publication is 'Sign language interpreting, pragmatics and theatre translation' in The Routledge Handbook of Translation and Pragmatics (2019).
