Martin Volk

Martin Volk is a Professor of Computational Linguistics at the University of Zurich and at Stockholm University. His research focuses on language technology in multilingual text analysis. He has worked on Machine Translation evaluation, Cross-Language Information Retrieval and multilingual terminology extraction. He is the scientific head of a commercial project to develop machine translation systems for film subtitles. He is also the co-founder of TextShuttle Gmbh, a company that offers language technology solutions for the media industry. Martin Volk has presented papers at numerous international conferences throughout Europe. He has been invited to talks in Europe, USA and Australia.
