Agnieszka Szarkowska

Agnieszka Szarkowska, PhD, is an assistant professor at the Institute of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw. Her research interests include audiovisual translation, especially audio description and subtitling for the deaf and hard of hearing. She is currently working on text-to-speech audio description, subtitling for the deaf and hard of hearing as part of the DTV4ALL project and the application of eyetracking to subtitling. She is also a member of ESIST and honorary member of the Polish Audiovisual Translators Association (STAW).
