Josélia Neves has a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures and a Masters in English Studies with a dissertation on the film adaptation of Henry James’ works. She has a PhD by the University of Surrey Roehampton, London, with a dissertation on Audiovisual Translation: Subtitling for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing. She presently teaches translation technology and audiovisual translation at the Instituto Politécnico de Leiria and at the University of Coimbra, in Portugal. She is highly committed to the development of projects in the field of accessibility to the media.
