Josélia Neves has a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures, a MA in English Studies and a PhD in Translation Studies, with a dissertation on Subtitling for the Deaf and the Hard of Hearing. She has carried out a number of projects within the field of sensory accessibility, involving Portuguese broadcasters, distributors and Deaf and blind viewers and has published widely in the domain of SDH. At present she is working on a post-doctoral research project which addresses accessible communication in museums.
