Carmen Mangiron

Dr. Carmen Mangiron completed her PhD in Translation Studies at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain). She is a lecturer in Spanish, Japanese and Translation in the School of Applied Languages and Intercultural Studies and a member of the Centre for Translation and Textual Studies at Dublin City University. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where she is researching on game accessibiliy. She also teaches game localisation at postgraduate level at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the Universitat of Vic (Barcelona). She has participated in several international conferences and has extensive experience as a translator, specialising in software and games localisation, and is one of the translators of the video game series Final Fantasy into Spanish.
