Larissa Görner graduated in Electrical Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Germany. In her diploma thesis at IRT, she focused on the insertion of subtitles and ancillary data into HDTV signals. In autumn 2010, she joined IRT as a research engineer and is now active in the department “Production Systems Television”. She chairs the EBU ECI-DFXP-group and is a member of further EBU groups including the 3DTV study group. She also chairs an adhoc-group of ARD and ZDF "Subtitles and Ancillary data in the HD-environment" dealing with the migration of ancillary data towards HDTV. She has been working in television for the past 10 years as media designer and highlight-editor.
