Lum Suzanne Ayonghe

Lum Suzanne Ayonghe was born on 2nd April 1959 in Douala, Cameroon. She earned the Probatoire Série C in 1981 in Douala and Advanced Levels Computer Science & French in 1986, in London, UK. In 1988, she worked as a Computer Programmer at the Economic & Social Council, Yaounde. In 1993, she was transferred to the University of Buea as a Computer Programmer in charge of students’ records. She completed a B.Sc. in Economics in 2001, an MA in Translation in 2003, and in 2004, she taught on Part-Time basis in the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters where she had earned her masters degree. In 2005, she was appointed Head of the Computer Service in charge of admissions and students records and was recruited as an Assistant Lecturer in audiovisual and computer assisted translation in 2008. In 2005, she registered as a PhD student in Language Practice at the North West University of South Africa, Vaal Triangle Campus, and has just been awarded the PhD in May 2010.
