Dr Anna Matamala

Dr Anna Matamala is a full-time lecturer at the Universitat Autònoma de
Barcelona, where she coordinates the Master’s Degree in Audiovisual
Translation (www.fti.uab.es/audiovisual). She has been working as an
audiovisual translator for more than ten years and holds a PhD in Applied
Linguistics by the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Her main interests are
audiovisual translation, media accessibility and applied linguistics, and
she has published in international journals such as Cadernos de Traduçao,
Translation Watch Quarterly or Catalan Journal of Linguistics, and in books
by prestigious publishers such as Benjamins, Peter Lang or Rodopi. Some
forthcoming articles by Anna Matamala are to be published in Meta, The
Translator and Perspectives.
